Decompression Therapy in Franklin, TN

If you’re suffering from lingering back pain and some of the other awful and annoying related symptoms, you know just how debilitating to your life it can be. Most of your days may be spent with only one thing on your mind: relief. In our years of practice at Advanced Health and Wellness, we’ve come to realize one very important truth: those in pain will do anything they can to stop it. So isn’t it time to do something about your back pain? How about something constructive and safe? Well, whether you’re in Brentwood,  Cool Springs, Thompson Station, Nolensville, or perhaps somewhere else in the region, that’s where our clinic and spinal decompression comes in. Every day, more and more people are turning to non-surgical spinal decompression. Read on to learn whether it may be proper the proper treatment to suit your medical needs.

Non-surgical Spinal Decompression treatment and how great it is for back pain and neck pain.

Stretching the spine, utilizing a traction table (or sometimes a similar motorized device), with the aim of alleviating back pain and/or leg pain is the main purpose of Spinal Decompression. At Advanced Health and Wellness, we specialize in nonsurgical decompression therapy (which is different than surgical spinal decompression, which are technically known as laminectomy and microdiscectomy).

Here’s what you can expect during your Spinal Decompression Therapy

After you arrive for your first treatment session, you’ll relax in a lying position on a computerized table. All of your clothing will remain on while a harness will easily sit on across your pelvis. Next, the Dr. will carefully guide the motorized traction that gradually assists in the strengthening of your spine while also working to ease and relieve your back pain. By this process, the pressure on your spinal disks will be reduced.
Those with sciatica, bulging (or herniated) discs, injured nerve roots–and more–have all been greatly helped by spinal decompression.

Many of our clients aren’t comfortable with surgery. And those that have tried it, have found it wasn’t effective. Imagine just how disappointing or frustrating that can be? And because of that frustration, they have turned to or referred their family members to us in hopes that the nonsurgical spinal decompression and its natural benefits can possibly help alleviate their pain.

What happens next in treatment?

When treating the low back, the patient will lie at ease on his/her stomach (or back if it’s more comfortable) on top of the decompression table. Softly padded belts strap snugly around the patient’s waste while another do so across their lower pectorals. When treating the neck, the patient rests at ease on their back while a pair of rubber pads rest softly behind the neck. The majority of patients rather enjoy the treatment, as the staff at Advanced Health & Wellness ensure all of our patients are comfortable and well taken care of.

Is the treatment right for me?

Bulging discs, herniated discs, sciatica, radiating arm pain, pinched nerves, leg pain, degenerative disc disease, and facet syndromes are all effectively treated by non-surgical spinal decompression. Keep in mind, though, that it is paramount that the correct patient screening be conducted so that only those who are right for the treatment are accepted for care. Please contact us so we can determine whether or not you are a candidate for this amazing treatment.
